Oh What Fun : The Corporate Christmas Party

We attended the
Corporate Christmas Party

The day was cold but the sun was shining
so the two hour drive to Fort Wayne, IN
proved to be quite enjoyable.
The party was at the Grand Wayne Center
which the Hilton was attached to
so once we reached our destination
it was inside fun all evening.
We arrived and checked in at the Hilton and proceeded to our 5th floor room.
The view outside the window was magnificent
as we counted
7 Church Steeples in the distance .
I love church steeples and bells
but that is another post for another day.
Together we unpacked and then proceeded to get dressed into our fancy clothing.
 DH being ready first
made his way downstairs and over to the Center to check us in for the party.
To check in for the party
was much like waiting in line for tickets at some sporting event.
A-C was one line down to X-Y-Z being the last line
using the first initial of your last name was the line you waited in
for your name tags and parking passes.
Once he obtained the necessary name tags and information
DH then went inside the Grand Ball Room and found the table for his co-workers.
DH then came back to the 5th floor to see if I was ready
and escorted me to the "Ball"
We had our choice of 2 areas to set with co-workers
as he was hired into one yard and transferred later to another
for buyers training
we chose to mingle all evening between the two areas,
as DH introduced me to everyone.
After greetings from the
Australian Corporate CEO
(loved his accent )
it was dinner time.
The food was amazing!
Eight rows of tables each with
large platters of foods was brought in
for the 1200-1500 guests !
The Menu:
choice of 4 variations of  lettuce salads
numerous pasta salads
steamed baby carrots
 boiled and seasoned red potato's
 turkey and dressings
salmon filets with cranberries and pineapple
filet of beef in Au ju
The Dessert:
brownies topped with chocolate sauce and raspberries
cheese cakes topped with walnuts and whip cream  & strawberries
chocolate cake topped with chocolate sauce
All the beverages you could consume!!!
I even got DH to dance a song or two!
The company  showed the workers a
Wonderful evening
of
 Hospitality
 Food
 Beverage
Dance!
One Christmas party enjoyed
 another two to attend
from the 2 yards he worked through
 before
 Christmas!

 The Company
also has a get together for
A Summer Event of Fun!

Happy-Happy Holidays
 to My Wonderful Husband
whom after his fall
came out on top of the world!
~~Peace & Love & Healing & Blessings~~
Do you and yours attend Christmas Parties such as this?

  1. Every year my husbands company throws a "Sugar Ball" for all their employees. Its usually a wonderful evening of good food, music, gifts and prizes and dancing.

  3. We used to but then the Company quit hosting one and then Scott got laid off from that Company. I don't know if this new Company has one or not - Scott hasn't mentioned one. I used to make beautiful dresses to wear to the parties and they were a lot of fun. So many places are cutting things like this to save money.

  4. how wonderful! I think few companies do such extravagant events, anymore...My husband lost his job in March and that company had completely stopped all employee extras.
The new company has some kind of thing every month, but it is for the employees and done during their work day..
So glad you had an elegant and entertaining night!
